Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention is Delta Phi Lambda's national philanthropy. Studies have shown that Asian women are at a higher risk of osteoporosis, therefore, we advocate living a healthy lifestyle and educating our youth to take preventive measures now so that they may reduce the chance of developing problems as they grow older.
We strive to raise awareness, host events, and conduct projects to raise money for the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the "Better Bones, Better Bodies" Osteoporosis Project, and American Bone Health.
Mental Health & Illness Awareness is The University of Iowa's philanthropy. Because Mental Health & Illness Awareness is relevant within the Asian community, as it is known to be a "taboo" topic of discussion within Asian culture family households, we have taken it upon ourselves to also advocate for mental health.
We strive to raise awareness and hold fundraisers and drives for our local mental services facility, Successful Living.
